Dyneti partnered with us to design the DyScan Protect experience, a secure card verification flow that helps apps detect and prevent fraud.
The goal was to create a fast, intuitive scanning process that works across mobile and desktop environments. We designed multiple verification paths, including single sided and two sided scans, as well as QR based handoffs from desktop to mobile. From error handling to successful verification, the experience guides users step by step while Dyneti’s deep learning models analyze the card in real time to determine whether the transaction should proceed.

Desktop flow
In the desktop experience, users begin the verification process on their computer and continue the card scan on their smartphone.
After acknowledging the security prompt, users scan a QR code displayed on the desktop screen. This opens Dyneti’s mobile scanning interface, allowing them to complete the card verification using their phone’s camera.
This cross-device flow enables secure card scanning even when users begin their transaction on desktop, while keeping the verification process simple and intuitive.

The error flow ensures users can quickly recover when a card scan fails due to lighting, positioning, or camera issues.
Clear guidance helps users understand what went wrong and how to fix it, minimizing frustration during a security-sensitive step. The interface provides visual feedback, simple instructions, and the ability to retry scanning without restarting the verification process.
This approach keeps the experience fast and supportive while maintaining the strict verification requirements needed for fraud prevention.
